Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a hands-on form of Chinese medicine that was developed in Japan. It uses finger pressure, stretching,
rocking, holding and leaning techniques to release tensions, stiffness and blockages from the body. It’s great for
increasing energy levels and improving breathing, posture and movement.
Shiatsu works at an energetic level to promote the free flow of ki or ch’i which is the vital life force that
keeps us alive. It can be used to help treat many illnesses, it’s great for reducing aches and pains and also for
stress relief.
Treatments are given through loose clothing on a soft treatment couch.
Many of my clients walk in feeling stiff, achy and old. They usually leave feeling light loose and lovely.
